Random thoughts followed by Shop it to YOU...
● I am proposing a corporate fitness challenge at my company... I am recruiting team members to run the San Jose Rock n' Roll Half Marathon in October which provides adequate time for the beginners to prepare. I am quite confident that I will get no more than a whopping 3 participants (if any) which doesn't even warrant a "team" but... I'll still make some kick ass tee shirts and pretend we're a big team.
● Speaking of teams... I think the median age of my indoor soccer team is about 20. I feel like a damned Grandma next to these sprite college athletes who are in tip top shape with so much agility and enthusiasm. Though I suppose if I didn't drink before every game, I might be just as sprite. Whatever.
● Let's go Google Analytics for a second... I just have to give a shout out to the poor souls that landed on my blog when searching for "Victoria Beckham Hair" or "Posh Spice Hair" (there are quite a few of my fellow Posh stalking friends!). Although, I modeled my new haircut after her highness, the only thing Posh and I have in common is hot husbands. Then there are those that somehow landed on strugglepants.com while Googling: "I am addicted to streaking" (me too!), "Golf pros and tennis hoes" (that's how I brought in age 28, hollah!), and "Wedgie-prone" (I am so sorry). Something tells me I cannot offer what you are looking for.
● I've never been a fan of Coldplay (ghasp, I know!) but they might have sucked me in with their new song, Viva la Vida. I really like it. Though, it really reminds me of a Christmas song... which is probably why I like it.

When I played soccer a few years ago, several years after my playing days, I felt the same way. I had to play smarter to make up for not being as well conditioned!
When the young girls would be all running around, in top shape and looking at me like a washed up ex-player, I thought I was like you guys once too. Just wait until one day when you have to work a 40 hour week, have a 2 hour commute,are married, have a mortgage to pay etc... It made me feel a little better!
For Shop It To Me, I put in basically all brands of everything running - but only if it's 50% off or more. Hopefully that will result in some good deals!
Some days I think the main reason I blog is so I can check Google Analytics for fun and interesting stats. Seriously.
My recent favorite search term? "My first bestiality experience."
Seriously.
I love the Shop it to Me section...everyone needs a little online shopping while working.
If you haven't done a RnR half/marathon I definitely recommend them! My hubby and I finished our first marathon the RnR San Diego on June 1, it was great! We're doing AZ in January.
Looks like you're from the SF Bay Area...oh how I miss California! I'm from Sac but spent a lot of time in the Bay.

our indoor team is ridiculous. i'm not sure what happened to the 20 something players... but i feel old and broken next to the college freshmen that could run home after the game and then back again for another round.
Your too funny sometimes. Sorry I am not up to shop for much of anything these days. However, the median age is probably mid 20's for your soccer team. We are all better w/ 2 and 1/4 beers right?
And if you played outdoor it'd be closer to 30! You up for an over 30 league next year???? LOL!!!!! Seriously tho- I def will play in both.
That is such a great idea to get a team started at work. You might be shocked how many people will join.

D10 - I always remind myself that they will be our age someday... and their Moms will no longer pay for them to play rec soccer. HAH!

MSTL - um...I might have been exagerrating about the median age but I am not THAT far off. With the THREE 18-19 year olds, young Pump, Beth, and Cassie, the upperclassmen are in the minority! ;)

Yah I'm a dork! I saw Breakers Run (thinking Bay to Breakers which is a SF race) and the SJ half and thought you must be from the Bay. Guess I was too busy looking at the Shop it to me section to see that you've mentioned the north east several times!
i have been thinking about running the SJ half! and i LOVE the new coldplay song to run to!
