One of my favorite parts of being a runner is... shopping for gear. I LOVE LOVE LOVE shopping for running "stuff". I love ripping off a tag to a new pair of shorts or sinking my tootsies into a new pair of kicks.

Basically, I'm a shopaholic with a running problem.

BUT, the real problem is... I'm also a sale junkie. I hate paying full price for anything other than a fancy dinner or a night on the town.

Well, ladies and gents, I've got something for all you running fanatics who are also gear addicts that love to save a buck. Check out Shop It To Me, a sales alert site with a running specific subscription service. Plug in your email and enter your preferences and sign up to receive sales updates on all the latest gear from your favorite brands.

I was skeptical at first thinking I'd get spammed a lot (haha) but I've really valued Shop It To Me. It's a quality establishment and the updates are clean, concise, very easy to read, and easy to weed out the uglies... such as exhibit a (ok, that wasn't really on there but they're ugly, no?). They allow you to customize your search specific to the brands and types of products you want to hear about and I highly recommend you sign up and develop your own profile and preferences.

I've signed up to receive alerts for: Men and Women, all of our favorite brands (Asics, Brooks, Mizuno, Nike, etc), shoes, and apparel, in all available sizes. I get email updates twice per week on items with at least a 25% discount (discount amount is another element you can customize).

SO being the nice kid that I am, I'm volunteering my sales-radar services to YOU. When I get Shop It To Me alerts, I'll do all the dirty work and weed out the crap and then will include the hottest specials (for men and women, big and small) in my Tuesday and Friday posts! I'll put a picture of the item, list the sale price, and link it direct to the retailer so all you've got to do is click!

Hopefully, this will help feed my fellow running gear addicts' shopping obsessions whilst saving you all some moola.

For now, noodle on this... its not a Shop it to Me alert but its a good deal... because after some of my friends wrote me personal notes of concern regarding me running the hella scary road that I wrote of in my bear post , I am making more of a committment to safety.
