just can't seem to get it right
I am absent minded this week. Well, let me rephrase... I am preoccu...
No. Lets me just quit making excuses and cut right to the gotdamn chase.
Chase:
I cannot, for the life of me, think of anything even remotely interesting to write about. I have interesting things going on in my life but I can't muster up the creative energy to blog it. Not to mention, work has me insane right now and I have not been able to read all of my favorite fellow bloggers' fantasticness, which always fuels my inspiration. My mornings and lunch break are now devoted to copy writing and such. And I feel guilty about being MIA. And it hurts my heart a little to leave my blog in such a sad state. The last two posts were PAINFULLY rotten.
But. Fact of the matter, something is amiss in Struggle land. No doubt.
Life is c to the razy right now. And, I'm not complaining.
Ok, only a little.
Its crazy in a good way. We've got a shit ton (opposed to just your average ton) of social plans and family parties and what nots. We're looking to buy a house which takes a lot of time (and is a story in and of itself but GAH its boring). And, work. Well, lets just say I am being ripped from my bed at 3am on a regular basis because I suddenly dream of something that needs to get done on the work front.
So - life is crazy.
But - not crazy in the way that inspires me to tell the Internets.
You don't want to hear about the baby shower I hosted last weekend. I know you don't. It was cute and sweet and all things lovely... but blogworthy? I already shared the most important elements: chocolate trifle and donut cake. (I love you M*!)
Or how about the smooshed frog I saw in the middle of the road while running? Gross. In fact, too gross to write about.
How about when I was at the gym this morning with my partner in crime and we were using medicine balls, doing twist crunch things and one of the trainers said we should start an Olympic synchronized sport because we were so in sync. (I think it was his way of politely telling us "YOU'RE DOING IT ALL WRONG!".)
OHHH - I know you are dying to hear about my upcoming trip to Denver. Awesome, right?Mile High, good beer, great hiking, quality mountain air... well, that would be all freaking fabulous if I weren't going to be engulfed by a convention center, surrounded by strangers, and set to work 18 hour days... for 6 days. Purell, red bull, and Visine will save my life. And most likely, I'll slowly forget what running is.
BLASPHEMY!
Actually, I hope to run on most days while I am out there... only if I can steal an hour from the 18 hour work day... not from the 6 hours of sleep! I am interested to know what running in thin air feels like. I so wish I could run the Skirt Chaser 5k that some other folks are doing. But - straight from the convention center, I'm going to the Rockies game. Yahoo!!!!
Speaking of running, I dare not tell you that I've been secretly sneaking back onto that running route that ya'll asked me not to run anymore.
How about the life lesson I caught at the grocery store this morning when the cashier (a cute elderly woman who is just "keeping busy" with her Stop & Shop gig) asks the guy in front of me "Didja try wunna da grapes befaw you buy dem?" He, in his Jamaiican-esque accent replies "Ya mon." She said, "Good. Cuz honey, nobody wans a sowah grape."
I thought it to be pretty profound for 7:30am.

Somehow you are able to make your 'writers block' interesting. And yes I do want to hear about the baby shower you hosted. :-)
Seriously.... what did that make you think about, feel, wonder, question? It can be a spin off besides the the fact you hear 1,000 ooohs, 978 ahhhs and 567 wows. Don't get me wrong it was beautiful, amazing, sweet and just lovely. So THANK YOU 100's over...
Love you FOXY
You are one busy person! Stop & Shop, you make me miss home. There are none of those down here. Have fun house huntng, it is fun yet stressful. Try to enjoy it!
Daaaannnnnggg girl! You HAVE been busy! And no, no one wants sowah grapes HAHAHHAHAAAAAAAA
Sadly, you could probably just write the words "donut cake" over and over again and I would still vote it one of the top blog entries of all time.
That reminds me. I need to buy new shoes! I'm going to do my best to avoid the condition I've come to describe as "Denver Ankles" completely this year.
GOOD CALL OP! I need to buy new kicks as well. I wish I was an edgy journalist and it was kosher for me to wear sneaks. :) Not so much.
Wow! Busy schedule.
Saw that you listed Supersize Me one of your fave movies. I loved it too. So informative!!! Do you watch some of his other tv shows? It's called 30 Days. Pretty interesting stuff!
The Rockies suck, do the Skirt Chaser 5K instead. You know you want to!
i feel your pain sistah. tho i didn't know that you were house hunting! and m is right... how is it that you even make writer's block interesting?
You made quite a post for seemingly struggling with writer's block :)
